All since the previous article that proves the PSP does, in fact, have games, the typical response has been all about “So it has games… even still you could count the number of games that are actually good on one hand and still have enough fingers left to use chopsticks!” A witty and humouous response, in itself, but still not enough to keep our trigger happy editors off it.
It’s particularly funny, because so far, I cannot get them to provide any direct information on how or why the PSP game library is supposedly so lackluster, and they go into steadfast denial, a frenzy of stating all kinds of things I did not ask for, or simply start talking about how good the DS is(in sales) to dodge the issue completely.
What I love about this is that the same people who say this use Gamerankings to back up their arguments, or as I like to say “Downloading someone else’s opinion to compensate for the research they haven’t done.”. I’ve noticed this being done, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned from life, it’s not to criticize what I haven’t given a chance. So I decided to give this “Downloading someone else’s opinions instead of forming my own.” a try, and got the returned with the following results.
Come to find that, as of February 24, 2007, even by the standards of their beloved Gamerankings Average Scores:
|PSP has 117 games in the good, great and excellent rank. Which is not only more than the projected figure of (less than) 5, but exactly a whopping 24 more good games than the DS list returns.|
